Prior to Tieks, I worked in hedge funds, venture capital, tech, and real estate. It was also imperative that we design a high-quality product down to the stitching and Italian leather-and create a shoe that would keep busy women comfortable on the road. In launching Tieks, we sought to reinvent the ballet flat into something that could be portable and durable, with the ability to fold and fit into a purse.
